The clip microphone provides a huge advanatge in a Pipe Band format with chanter tuning.
Generally the Pipe Major will know approximately where the band is pitched (frequency) and could provide each piper using a HBT1 a calibration frequency. This then allows pipers to individually tune their own instrument either at or prior to practise. The advantages of arriving with a balanced instrument, will greatly enhance your Pipe Band, saving time and allow the Pipe Major to do fine tuning. On competition day the same routine can take place again maximising your time and primary focus on the music.
